OVERVIEW
Scherrer Construction oversaw the new construction of Golden Years first facility in Lake Geneva, expanding their service-oriented approach to assisted living after the success of their Walworth facility in operation since 1960.
The initial construction project included a 30-single bedroom living facility and nursing home, a rehabilitation center equipped with the latest technology, a spacious kitchen and inviting dining area, a therapy gym, multiple living spaces designed for maximum comfort and convenience, as well as outdoor seating features that provide a scenic and relaxing atmosphere. A new addition was constructed to provide extra single-bedroom living spaces.
The subsequent phases will focus on developing an independent living facility and a dementia care center, both of which will be tailored to the unique needs of their respective residents.

Project Highlights
- Scherrer's partnership with the Golden Years team spans over five decades.
- The Scherrer team collaborated with the owner team to meet an aggressive construction timeline while ensuring quality and attention to detail for residents.

"Scherrer Construction’s experience in managing large projects as well as building custom homes was a huge asset to our project as there were strict healthcare requirements that needed to be met, but we also wanted our building to look and feel like home. There were many suggestions and custom touches that they brought and their attention to detail was a significant part of the construction project’s success."
