The project encompasses three primary components: a Court Tennis Gallery, a professional locker room area with a pro-shop, and a full-service restaurant and bar. The indoor tennis court construction stands out with its distinctive features, including its position 17+ feet below the first floor, giving the court a total height exceeding 33 feet. This bold design creates an immersive and prestigious experience for all who visit.
The commercial tennis court installation incorporated several advanced construction methods, materials, and technologies to ensure the court’s performance meets the highest standards. A key feature of the court is its specialized wall finishing, utilizing Armourcoat, a multi-layer plaster imported from England. This plaster creates a hard, smooth surface optimized for Court Tennis gameplay, providing the perfect balance of durability and aesthetics. Additionally, the project used innovative floor testing to assess how different levels of polishing on the polished concrete floor affect ball speed and bounce, ensuring that every aspect of the court meets regulation standards.
The integration of a restaurant construction and commercial kitchen construction elevates the venue's role as a community hub, providing a welcoming environment for players and spectators to relax after their matches.
Cooperation among Scherrer and sub-contractors was essential throughout the project. With specialized trades involved—from the highly skilled tennis court builders to the expert construction teams responsible for the restaurant and kitchen facilities—each phase required seamless collaboration. The use of exposed steel and wood trusses, finished wood ceilings, and plaster walls required an intricate level of coordination to ensure the design vision was executed flawlessly.

This Real Court Tennis court is one of only 13 of its kind in the US and one of 48 worldwide, making it a highly sought-after venue for professional tennis events. The 2024 US National Open was held at this facility shortly after it was completed.
