Scherrer renovated a vacant commercial building into a modern indoor storage facility, providing climate-controlled storage in the Wausau area. This comprehensive renovation included upgrades both inside and out.
The exterior received a refreshed façade and the addition of a 20x30 covered canopy, offering a sheltered unloading area in any weather. Inside, we reconfigured the space to create 493 climate-controlled storage units across two floors, using our self-performed demolition and carpentry expertise. To ensure easy access to the second floor, we installed a brand-new elevator, replacing the previous layout that lacked one.
For added convenience, we incorporated garage doors at the main entrance, allowing vehicles to drive directly into the building for unloading, even during inclement weather. Customers now enjoy 24/7 access to their storage units via electronic passcodes or key fobs, with extensive video surveillance providing top-notch security.
